Overview
ESA is seeking a skilled industrial equipment Service Technician for employment at their Charlotte, NC location. The Service Technician role is responsible for full spectrum service and support of a variety of industrial air compressors, air dryers, associated systems and accessories. The Service Technician role will perform field support activities, troubleshooting, performance evaluation, maintenance and installations of compressed air systems to ESA customers throughout the Carolinas.The Service Technician interacts daily with customers to provide solutions and support across a wide range of complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations throughout the Carolinas or work in the ESA service area to perform full spectrum service on rotary and reciprocating compressors with a focus on customer service and systemic resolution of issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with a variety of compressed air equipment and associated systems while communicating effectively with the customer and the Service Manager
  • Repair, replace or rebuild defective equipment, components, wiring or piping
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks and inspections such as changing filters and fluids, or cleaning and setting controls on air compressor products
  • Provide on-site technical support, explaining system capabilities, operations, features and benefits to ESA customers
  • Communicate effectively with the customer with a focus on understanding their requirements and ensure that the ESA corrective action meets or exceeds the customer expectations
  • Accurately maintain all required paperwork (work orders, service orders, company forms)
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance (work uniforms are provided)
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, guidelines and company regulations
  • Maintain accountability of an emergency service line and provide “on-call” response during assigned times (weekly rotation)
  • Maintain standardized inventory of air compressor parts and tools on company service truck
  • Maintain the ESA service area and service vehicles as though they were your own

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 2+ years of industrial equipment technician experience required (preferably air compressors)
  • Requires technical knowledge and interpersonal skills typically gained through completion of technical school or related experience
  • Requires analytical thought process and proficient problem-solving skills in order to systemically resolve both mechanical and electrical technical issues
  • Capable of accurately troubleshooting and rectifying issues in pressured situations without sacrificing quality
  • General computer literacy and tech savvy (comfortable using a tablet or smart phone for service schedule coordination and communications)
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, parts catalogues and relevant documentation

Overview
ESA is hiring a Sales Representative to interface with its customers and identify their needs. The Sales Representative should be able to work externally and internally to communicate these needs to the Sales and Service Departments to ensure that the proper set of products and services are being offered to improve the customer’s experience.

Duties of the Position

  • Manage the business development activities for the assigned territory.
  • Actively engage and prospect with new customers through research, application meetings, cold calls, networking events, and social media and discover avenues for growth across all of ESA’s product range.
  • Execute the sales strategies for growth with new and existing customers.
  • Make presentations to key decision-makers, effectively selling ESA’s capabilities and value proposition.
  • Continually generate and qualify leads as well as update the customer database in CRM.
  • Consistently update and add to the territory sales pipeline for status, timeline, project value, product range, expected order, and risks.
  • Generate proposals/quotes.
  • Prepare a sales action plan with customers, projects, and activities to close order and support the forecasted pipeline.
  • Work alongside and recruit the assistance of other members of the Sales and Service Teams to ensure professional and constructive meetings and bring value to the customer.
  • Travel Required: 50-75% daily travel

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field (technical experience preferred).
  • Min 3 Years Compressed Air, Pumping or HVAC Industry experience preferred.
  • Min 3yrs in a Technical Sales Role experience with a documented history of cold calling, pipeline reporting, and sales growth.
  • Successful direct B2B sales experience preferably in the industrial supply chain business.
  • Excellent organizational, oral & written communication skills.
  • Willing to research and identify target prospects & business needs.
  • A disciplined work ethic is driven by passion toward accountability and achievement.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in a Microsoft Office suite.
  • Travel >50%.
  • Goal-oriented with a clear vision of what it will take to achieve those goals.
  • Must have a teamwork attitude.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Base Pay Range
$45,000/yr – $50,000/yr
